In 2018 STEP Industries and The Mooring Programs merged to become Apricity, a progressive recovery community. The leadership team brought to life the vision of a one-of-a-kind recovery organization that offers treatment, employment, transitional living, and education like no other in the country.

Michelle Devine Giese

Michelle is CEO of Apricity, which includes residential treatment, contract packaging, sober living and recovery support services. She is a graduate of UW Stout with a BS in Business Administration. She holds an AODA Certificate from UW Madison and Fox Valley Technical College and is a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor. Michelle Devine Giese has been on her recovery journey since 1995 joining the STEP Industries in 1996. Michelle played a key role in the 2018 merge of Mooring Programs and STEP Industries to become Apricity.

Dan Haak

Dan went to treatment at Mooring Programs in 1997, and began at STEP Industries as an employee in 1998. Dan became a staff member at STEP Industries in 1999 as Team Leader, then Warehouse Manager, and then Vice President of STEP Industries. Dan played a crucial role in the 2018 merge of Mooring Programs and STEP Industries to become Apricity. Dan is currently President of Apricity Contract Packaging and Recovery Support.

Jolie VerVoort

Jolie started at Mooring Programs as an intern in 2004 while she was finishing her Associates Degree from Fox Valley Technical College in Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling. Throughout her tenure at Mooring Programs, Jolie has held several different positions: House Manager, Substance Abuse Counselor and Business Manager. Jolie played a vital role in the 2018 merge of Mooring Programs and STEP Industries to become Apricity. In 2018 Jolie became President of Residential Treatement Services. Jolie is licensed through the State of Wisconsin as a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor and a Clinical Supervisor In Training.
